Despite scoring points by finishing 13th, Álex Rins was not satisfied with the Portuguese MotoGP Grand Prix. The rider fell short of the potential performance shown by his Monster Energy Yamaha teammate – Fabio Quartararo, who finished seventh.
During the race, the Spaniard tried to adapt his riding style in order to get more out of the bike. However, he admitted that it wasn’t enough and that he needs to change the settings on the YZR-M1:
– I think it’s more about the setup than my position on the bike. In the middle of the race, I tried to change my riding style on the bike to see if I could load the front more. But it wasn’t enough. It seems like we need more weight on the front to make the bike turn.
