It is with the certainty that KTM has grown during the winter that Francesco Guidotti looks to the next season but, emphasizing that the brand’s opponents have also become stronger and… without knowing where Ducati stands.
After many days in Sepang, the Team Manager of KTM spoke about very ‘intense’ days: ‘It was more than three days in Malaysia because I was also there at the Shakedown, it was ten very intense and interesting days. In some way, we started the season and we are back on the track’.
When asked if he feels closer to Ducati, the current main reference in the World Championship, the Italian said: ‘It is difficult to say, we know more or less where we are, but it is always difficult to know where the contenders are, that is the biggest question mark. What can be done and what was done during the winter and when we return to the track we will be able to see the level. I think we have made progress, but it seems that our opponents did not rest much during the winter. There are still two days of testing left and then we will see’.
The next MotoGP tests will take place in Losail, Qatar, on the 19th and 20th of this month.
