Raúl Fernández arrives at the Catalunya GP in 15th position in the MotoGP world championship. The Spanish rider finished the Le Mans GP in 11th place, thus securing five more points for the championship.
In the debrief, the Trackhouse Racing rider talked about the expectations he has for this weekend after the positive results of Aprilia at the Montmeló circuit.
– I will try to win. I don’t know why Aprilia is so good here, it seems super easy to ride here with the bike. We also made it to the podium in the Sprint race. In France, we were almost a second faster than last year. It’s good to have good data for a GP, we know it will help, but we need to focus on understanding the situation with the bike, trying to understand the potential. The plans for the 24 version test will only be in Mugello, I am fine with what I have now. The next plan with the new bike will be to do more laps in the tests in Mugello.
When asked about his future in MotoGP, Raul replied: ‘We are only at the beginning of the year. I know what I want to do and where I want to stay. I don’t think it’s the right time to talk about it, but I think we have to wait for two or three more races. I would like to stay.’
