Only Francesco Bagnaia was faster than Enea Bastianini in the MotoGP tests that took place this week in Qatar, and both riders lapped below the official lap record of the Losail circuit. Therefore, the indications are encouraging for Ducati.
Bastianini, for his part, told the press that he believes the maximum potential has not yet been explored: ‘I think both Pecco and I didn’t give 100 percent during these lap times and we can probably do something more for the race. But it’s just the test and we have to stay calm‘.
After a first season in the official Ducati team heavily affected by injuries, Bastianini now has to show his potential and worth in 2024 – in a context that is expected to be much more favorable and with one of the benchmark bikes in the current field.
