There seem to be encouraging signs at Honda in MotoGP. Last Monday’s test at Jerez was the opportunity to try out a new version of the RC213-V, and for Joan Mir there are reasons for hope.
In statements to the official championship website, the rider from Palma de Mallorca revealed that, although there is no difference in performance, there are indicators of change for the better:
– We tested a different bike concept. Honestly, in terms of lap time we won’t see any difference in performance. But it is true that I feel we are closer to taking a step forward.
According to Mir, the direction to follow is already known and now the development will be accelerated: ‘They finally understood the direction and that’s great. We will speed up the process to take the steps and that’s good‘.
