Two new electric motorcycles are about to be launched by Vmoto, as revealed in recent patent filings.
In Europe, Vmoto is probably best represented by the Super Soco brand, which mainly sells electric scooters manufactured by Vmoto at its facilities in Nanjing, China. But it is the Super Soco TCmax electric motorcycle that serves as the basis for the two new electric motorcycles from Vmoto, as revealed by the patent filings discovered by Cycle World.
This base will mean, if the performance values remain the same in the two new motorcycles, a power of 3.9kW (5hp), a top speed of 96.5 km/h, and a removable battery capacity of 3.2kWh. Therefore, it is unlikely that these motorcycles will make you lose control, but if the price is comparable to that of the TCmax, it is also unlikely that they will break your bank account.
The two motorcycles differ only in terms of handlebar position and front-end styling. One has a small screen above the single headlight, and the other has a small cafe racer-style upper front fairing with a slightly lowered handlebar compared to the other. Otherwise, the two are essentially identical, with a flat seat, no rear section, a spoked front wheel, an alloy rear wheel, and a license plate holder mounted on the swingarm.
In terms of specifications, it is difficult to say much from the drawings, but it is possible to see that both motorcycles will use an inverted front fork and a single central rear shock absorber. The fork appears to have been taken from the TCmax, as well as the tubular steel frame and aluminum subframe. Similarly, the brakes have a significant resemblance to the TCmax, indicating that the combined braking system of the TCmax is also possible.
Currently, there is no indication of when these new Vmoto motorcycles will be launched, when they will go into production, or when we can expect them to arrive at dealerships.
