Yesterday in Jerez, there was an official Moto2 test day, in which Ai Ogura had a big scare. The rider had a strong high-speed crash, from which he emerged unscathed.
The MT Helmets-MSi team, which the Japanese rider is part of, took to social media to address the incident: ‘We had a big scare with Ai Ogura’. In response to a comment on the X social network, the team confirmed that everything is ‘perfect’ with Ogura.
The same cannot be said for the bike. The Boscoscuro suffered extensive damage, with the fork hanging on the fence that protects the public area after the escape route in turn two.
There is no video of the actual accident, after which Ogura did not return to ride. However, images broadcasted by Sky Sport MotoGP show the condition of the bike. You can see it below.
