The Sprint race of the Italian MotoGP Grand Prix didn’t last long for Miguel Oliveira. On the second lap, he suffered a crash that forced him to retire.
It all happened at turn ten of the Mugello circuit, when the Portuguese from Trackhouse Racing was in 16th position right behind Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha).
While attacking the rival on the inside of the corner, Oliveira ended up not avoiding contact that caused both to crash – a situation considered a racing incident by the stewards.
Both riders even fell on top of each other, but neither of them seems to have suffered significant physical injuries as a result of this crash, which you can see below.
