Pablo Quintanilla suffered a severe crash during stage 8 of the 2025 Dakar Rally, held this Thursday. The Monster Energy Honda rider was forced to withdraw from the competition.
The incident occurred after kilometer 133, with the Chilean sustaining a shoulder injury. He was assisted by his teammate Adrien van Beveren and Luciano Benavides (Red Bull KTM) before medical teams arrived on the scene.
This situation also impacted the stage results: both Benavides and van Beveren had their lost time, spent helping Quintanilla, returned. As a result, they claimed the top two spots for the stage.
Benavides emerged victorious, moving up to fourth overall, while van Beveren finished second and held onto his third-place position in the general standings.
