The MotoGP Japanese Grand Prix race was going well for Miguel Oliveira. With rain appearing early on, the Portuguese rider was chasing a podium finish.
When he was in fourth place, with chances to move up in the standings, water inside his helmet affected his visibility significantly, forcing him to enter the pit and retire.
To his understandable frustration, this happened moments before the red flag. Despite everything, he was still classified in 18th place and was allowed to line up for the restart… which ultimately did not happen.
