Jorge Martín could have achieved another victory this Sunday at the MotoGP Spanish GP, but for the first time this season the championship leader made a mistake that led to his retirement.
The Prima Pramac Spaniard was leading the race, pursued by Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), when 15 laps from the end he crashed at turn six of the Jerez circuit.
Physically, Martín did not suffer any concerning injuries, but it will be the first race (including Sprints) that he finishes without any points in 2024. Thus, he will see his championship lead margin considerably reduced.
You can watch the crash in the video we have provided.
