Francesco Bagnaia put in a strong effort to win the MotoGP Thailand Grand Prix, fighting until the end to try to overtake Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM) and Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati).
In the last corner of the penultimate lap in Buriram, the Ducati rider from Italy made a bold attempt at a double overtaking move on the outside, which would have been at least one of the overtakes of the year. However, he was not able to make it stick.
Shortly after, Bagnaia crossed the finish line in third place, being promoted to second due to a penalty imposed on Binder for exceeding track limits on the last lap.
