Incidents are part of MotoGP and, therefore, it was only a matter of time before Pedro Acosta had his first crash in a premier class race. It happened this Sunday at the French GP.
On the third lap, the Red Bull GasGas Tech3 rookie attempted a very optimistic double overtake on Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46/Ducati) and Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia) to move up to third place.
This happened at turn eight, Acosta couldn’t keep control of his KTM and crashed, ending up in the gravel. Despite not suffering any physical injuries, he had to retire and it will be the first race in which he doesn’t score points.
