The Thursday before the MotoGP Catalunya Grand Prix was full of strong emotions for Aleix Espargaró. The rider faces his home round for the last time, as he will end his full-time career at the end of this season.
The announcement was made this Thursday at a special press conference at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Journalists, as well as other riders and Espargaró’s family, were present.
On the occasion, the Aprilia man took the opportunity to express his gratitude – showing that he does not forget the key people in his nearly 20-year journey in the world championships.
And during the speech, Espargaró did not avoid or shy away from emotions, crying copiously as he spoke with a clearly shaken voice in a special moment. You can see in the video we provide.
