Next year, Valentino Rossi will compete in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), also making his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It will be his third full season in motorsport.
After leaving MotoGP at the end of 2021, the Italian focused on the GT World Challenge Europe, taking his first steps in professional motorsport. Now, he will be a driver for Team WRT and BMW in the WEC, the premier endurance championship.
However, Rossi will debut in the secondary category, the new LMGT3. He will drive a BMW M4 GT3 with two teammates who have not yet been announced. Earlier this month, Il Dottore had his first experience with the WEC by participating in rookie tests in an LMP2. In the future, he may move up to the top class, where BMW will also be present in 2024.
