On the second lap, Holgado lost several positions, dropping to sixth, while Veijer reached second and David Muñoz (BOE Motorsports/KTM) moved to third. In the lead, Ortolá built a margin of around half a second.🚦LIGHTS OUT IN #Moto3🚦@IvanOrtola48 nails the start! @daniholgado96 goes from 9th to 2nd into T1 🚀#CatalanGP 🏁 pic.twitter.com/1lp2mAlVIi

When on the third lap Taiyo Furusato (Honda Team Asia) and Muñoz served the Long Lap penalties, there were other changes: Ortolá was overtaken, Veijer took the lead ahead of Alonso and Holgado.
In the early laps, the front group was extensive: eight riders were separated by less than a second with 15 laps to go, with constant position changes among them. Holgado returned to the lead and Luca Lunetta (SIC58 Squadra Corse/Honda) also emerged in the podium positions.
However, everything was uncertain and it was very easy to be both in the front and further back: Holgado, for example, led for some time, but with ten laps to go he was already sixth, with Veijer in the lead and Ortolá in second.

In the last ten laps, the front group started to shorten: with five laps to go, only the top five were separated by less than a second: Alonso, Ortolá, Veijer, Holgado, and Lunetta, who had managed to create a slightly larger gap compared to the rest of the pack.
Doing everything possible to defend the lead, Alonso faced intense pressure from Ortolá, Veijer, and, on the last lap, also from José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo), but he was holding on.
It was a four-way battle for victory, but Alonso managed to hold off the opponents to secure his fourth win of the year. Ortolá finished second, 0.242s behind, with Rueda closing out the podium. Veijer finished fourth and Muñoz recovered to fifth after the Long Lap. Holgado was sixth, losing the championship lead to Alonso.
