Triumph Motorcycles has introduced a new special edition – the Trident Triple Tribute, inspired by competition and based on the 660 Triple.

This new edition pays tribute to Slippery Sam, who won the Isle of Man TT five times, with a more modern design. The frame is in Sapphire Black with a glossy black finish, which forms the base of this bike.

There are then details in Cobalt Blue and Diablo Red on the fuel tank, rear section, and also at the front end. The number #67 is also featured on the tank, and the wheels are painted in Diablo Red.

The 660cc three-cylinder engine complies with Euro 5+ standards and has specific tuning. It delivers 81 hp at 10,250 rpm and 64Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm, with advanced mapping. The gearbox is six-speed, with Triumph Shift Assist bidirectional.

Power can be limited to 47 hp and 59 Nm with a conversion kit for an A2 driving license available in Europe – which also includes a specific APS throttle.

The Trident Triple Tribute has a tubular steel frame and suspension consisting of a Showa Single Function Big Piston front fork and an adjustable rear RSU shock absorber in preload.

In terms of braking, the bike is equipped with two discs and two 2-piston calipers at the front and a single disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear. It also includes cornering-optimized ABS that uses the Inertial Measurement Unit.

As for ergonomics, the fuel tank is narrow, and the handlebars are wide, with the seat height set at 805 mm. The riding position is upright and neutral, with the bike weighing 190 kg.

There is also optimized traction control, standard cruise control (a first on the new Trident 660), and three riding modes (Road, Rain, Port) adjusting throttle response and traction settings to the conditions and riding style.

The bike features a full-color TFT display on the instrument panel, with the My Triumph connectivity system installed as standard. This system allows access to the phone, music, and turn-by-turn navigation. All lighting is LED.
