Trackhouse Racing will enter MotoGP in 2024 as a satellite team of Aprilia, lining up with riders Miguel Oliveira and Raúl Fernández. Owner Justin Marks is currently focused on building the foundations of success he aims to achieve in the future – emphasizing the determination to win in the future.
In an interview with the SPEEDWEEK.com website, the entrepreneur clarified that, for now, it is a building phase: ‘The goal for now will be to build our relationship with Aprilia and organize the equipment for 2024 for our two riders. We need to get to know the team and identify the team’s needs. Of course, we are looking at the market and talking to potential sponsors. We have already had many good conversations. We want to succeed in this area and not start our commitment in MotoGP with a tight budget. That being said, we are taking care to build a good team‘.
Despite the modesty for now, Marks emphasized that the ambition for the future of the project in MotoGP is very high: ‘At this moment, our priority is to assemble a good team. But in the future, we want to appeal to and convince the best riders in the world, all those who have only wanted to ride for factory teams until now. At some point we can talk about podiums and victories’.
