Toprak Razgatlioglu was the Superbike world champion in 2021 and aims to repeat the title this year. It is his first season at ROKiT BMW, and in March he returned the manufacturer to victory several years after in the Barcelona round.
But that doesn’t stop the Turkish rider from having high ambitions and hopes. In fact, he dreams of becoming champion again this year. Currently, he is in fourth place in the championship, 16 points behind the leader, Nicolò Bulega.
In an official WSBK statement, Razgatlioglu emphasized that, first and foremost, he wants to achieve his first victory at the legendary Assen circuit since joining the category:
– I have never won at Assen in Superbike; I hope to do it this weekend. It seems a bit strange, as the weather can easily change. It’s cold, but I am prepared to compete whether it’s raining or dry.
For this year overall, #54 has taken on the dream of becoming champion: ‘I have a dream this year to win this championship. I can’t say it before the end of the season. The dream seems possible.’.
