Toprak Razgatlioglu proved why he remains one of the World Superbike title favourites, leading both Friday practice sessions in Most. With the Czech circuit damp from earlier rainfall, the Turkish rider mastered the changing grip conditions to set the fastest time of the day — 1:31.318 in FP2.
His BMW teammate Michael van der Mark also improved in the latter half of the session, finishing around six-tenths adrift.
Sam Lowes shines on Ducati, Bulega surprises after heavy crash
Sam Lowes was the top Ducati performer, securing second place with a 1:31.542 lap. Despite a violent highside in FP1, Nicolo Bulega fought through pain to grab fourth spot, while his teammate Álvaro Bautista ended the day in fifth. Danilo Petrucci completed the top six with a consistent showing.
Bimota resurgence: Alex Lowes secures third
Alex Lowes put Bimota back in contention with a strong third-place finish, just three-tenths off the lead. Axel Bassani joined him in the top 10, reinforcing the team’s ambitions for the weekend.
Tough outing for Yamaha as multiple riders crash
It was a challenging day for Yamaha with three crashes in FP1. Andrea Locatelli salvaged ninth place overall, followed by teammate Jonathan Rea in 13th. Further back, Gardner, Aegerter and Rabat struggled to break into the front pack.
Honda’s duo evenly matched, Gerloff close to top 10
Xavi Vierge narrowly edged out Iker Lecuona for 10th place as the Honda riders posted near-identical times. Garrett Gerloff, the lone Kawasaki rider, ended in 16th — just half a tenth outside the top 10.
