Young Portuguese talent Tomás Alonso, racing for the Pons Motosport Italika Racing team, returns to the track this weekend for Round 4 of the World Supersport 300 Championship, now taking place in Misano, Italy. After a challenging round in the Czech Republic, Tomás is determined to bounce back and earn valuable points.

“We’re returning to competition with great enthusiasm,” said the Odivelas-born rider. “The main goal is to get back to good results and put the bad luck from the last round behind us. Misano is a demanding circuit and it’s going to be a hot weekend, but we’re ready to perform and score points.”

Currently sitting 17th in the standings, Tomás didn’t score in the Czech round — a contrast to the current championship leaders.

  2. Julio Garcia – 97 pts
  3. Benat Fernandez – 96 pts

With the championship tighter than ever and Misano’s heat adding physical pressure, Tomás knows he must find pace in free practice and superpole to avoid surprises. The track demands precision in fast corners and quick direction changes — a perfect challenge to showcase his growing skillset.

Scoring points this round could be crucial for climbing the standings, especially with less than 5 points separating the top riders. Every position matters.

Final Thoughts: Full Throttle in Italy

Tomás is ready to take on Misano with focus and determination. This Italian circuit rewards riders who attack with confidence — and he’s promising to do just that.
