After making his debut on the podium earlier this season, it seems that Tom Vialle has started to particularly enjoy the taste of victories and once again, for the second consecutive round, he won in the AMA Supercross 250 East region and is now the new championship leader.
In Birmingham SX, the Frenchman from Red Bull KTM Factory Racing led all 17 laps at Protective Stadium and beat all opponents in the main event. Despite not having the best start, he managed to be consistent, as stated in a team statement: ‘I felt very good throughout the day and made a good heat race to win one for the first time. In the Main Event, I didn’t have the best start, but I got to the front and put in some good laps early on, trying to stay consistent throughout the race’.
The last laps at the venue went well and he confirmed the win with a 2.731s advantage over the second, Cameron McAdoo: ‘The last four or five laps were great, I loved the track and, after all, it was very good after the weather we had this week. Another win is fantastic for me and I am very happy to have the red plate – I haven’t won two races in a row since the GPs, so it’s a nice feeling. Now we will focus on the next race in Indy.’
