This morning, it was announced that Pedro Acosta will continue with KTM in MotoGP, but from 2025 it will be with Red Bull KTM – he debuted this year in the Red Bull GasGas Tech3 satellite team.
Despite the strong synergies between the two teams of the Pierer Mobility group, the real factory rider status is only achieved at Red Bull KTM – where the Spanish rookie will team up with Brad Binder from 2025.
Acosta spoke in a statement about this new contract with KTM, admitting that considering his connection to the manufacturer and the commitment he sees in Mattighofen justify his renewal:
– It was important for me to continue committed to KTM, and see the whole project and history so far and how we have grown in races. So, it’s good to continue for the future: having the orange color is like coming back home. The way they are striving and improving in recent years is also what makes me stay for the next years.
So far, despite being a rookie, the Moto3 and Moto2 world champion has consistently been the best KTM on track, even ahead of Binder and Jack Miller, already scoring two podiums in six rounds.
