It’s official: Tito Rabat will compete in the World Superbike Championship next season, chosen by the Kawasaki Puccetti Team. The rider joined the team in 2022, while this year he had a more complete program with 21 races.
The Moto2 world champion in 2014 was in MotoGP between 2016 and 2020, then moving to WSBK the following year. However, the results were not the best and in 2022 he moved to the Spanish championship, where he sealed the title. In 2023, he returned to WSBK from the Misano round with Kawasaki Puccetti Racing – which will now have him as a full-time rider.
The team owner, Manuel Puccetti, stated that the goal is to consistently be in the top ten positions: ‘We are pleased to announce our agreement with Tito Rabat for the 2024 WorldSBK season. We are very happy to build on this collaboration with such a talented and professional rider, with whom our whole team immediately clicked. So far, Rabat has filled in for other riders without the chance for us to complete tests together, so we are excited to have a full season with him in 2024. Our preparation will involve winter tests in January, either in Jerez or Portimão, where Tito can build confidence with a Ninja that will be even more competitive than the 2023 bike, thanks to updates from our concession parts. Our goal will be to regularly be in the top ten‘.
