Tim Gajser was the undisputed force at the MXGP of Castilla La Mancha, claiming dominant victories in both races at Cózar during the second round of the MXGP World Championship.

On a mud-filled track, Gajser was untouchable in Race 1. The Slovenian Honda HRC rider led from start to finish, leaving his rivals no chance and finishing 43.251s (!) ahead. His teammate, Rubén Fernández, secured second place throughout the entire race.

The battle for third place lasted until the final laps, with Calvin Vlaanderen (Monster Energy Yamaha) overtaking Glenn Coldenhoff (Fantic) on lap nine of the 12-lap race.

Race 2 was almost a mirror image of the first in terms of leadership: Gajser never faltered, winning by 38.960s over Andrea Bonacorsi (Fantic). The Italian spent most of the race chasing teammate Coldenhoff before making a penultimate-lap overtake. Vlaanderen, however, struggled and finished 22nd.

In the overall standings, Gajser claimed victory with the maximum 50 points, followed by Coldenhoff with 38 points. Bonacorsi completed the podium with 35 points, while Fernández placed fourth with 31 points.
