Alex Márquez, after finishing 11th in the Misano GP, is looking to improve his performance. The Spanish rider from Gresini Racing MotoGP spoke a bit about his first impressions of the new circuit: ‘I ran a bit yesterday, it has a good layout with more ups and downs than we expected and some very close corners. It is an important race for MotoGP, because the market is very big with many fans in India. I think turns 8 and 9 will be the most difficult, but there are many points on the circuit to learn. Another important factor will be the tire grip on this circuit.’
Asked about the danger of turn 4 and the potential of his rivals, Alex responds: ‘The runoff is about 70 or 90 meters long, we will never go straight into the wall, it may seem more dangerous than it is because we pass very close to the wall, but I think everything is fine and there will be no problems. Ducati has good chances on the longest straight, which is good, but KTM or Aprilia also have a lot of speed. I think this weekend the riders will make more of a difference than the bikes’.
