Within less than a month, the MotoGP season begins with the Qatar GP at the Losail circuit. It is on this track that the tests of this week are held, but Luca Marini (Repsol Honda) is cautious about the indications that can be taken from these two days of preparation.
Questioned about whether it will already be possible to have an idea about his speed, the Italian admitted that the Losail track is not easy to achieve due to its unique characteristics – so he considers it necessary to wait longer:
– This is not so easy because Qatar is also a very unique track. You ride during the day, and then you ride at night, so you also have different conditions. You use two tire specifications because maybe one is better for hot temperatures and another is better for cold temperatures. So it’s not the standard track. We need to wait a little longer, but it is certain that it can help us for the development of the bike.
