In recent years, Honda has experienced a clear drop in performance in MotoGP. More than a decade after arriving in 2010, Tetsuhiro Kuwata – currently director of Honda Racing Corporation – witnesses a challenging period following several achievements in the premier class.
The Japanese admitted in a Honda mini-documentary that it is not easy to face this performance, but also sees it as an opportunity: ‘This kind of poor results are hard to accept… they completely change your mindset. It’s a great opportunity to achieve something‘.
On the other hand, Kuwata argued that the past should be taken into account when trying to make improvements: ‘We should respect the past. If you are facing difficulties, sometimes you need to look back. Sometimes you can find something that will help you in your future‘.
