The Spanish GP marks the real start of the European phase of the MotoGP season, and takes place at the Circuito de Jerez Ángel Nieto – which usually provides good indicators of each bike and rider’s performance. Miguel Oliveira, from Trackhouse Racing, talked about this aspect.
Asked whether a good performance at the Spanish circuit can confirm the direction taken, #88 replied: ‘I think so. There is a good baseline indication here for the upcoming tracks, and I believe the main goal is to find the way here‘.
On the Monday following the Spanish GP, the Jerez circuit will also host an official test day. Oliveira believes it will be helpful in building a good foundation:
– What is good is that we also have an opportunity on Monday to fit in some things that we may not be able to do during a Grand Prix weekend. And after that, we will build an even better base for the rest of the European rounds.
