This year, Ducati again had eight bikes on track – more than any other manufacturer. And once again, they dominated the championship, winning 19 out of the 20 main races.

There were two different versions of the Desmosedici on track throughout the year: Enea Bastianini and Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), as well as Franco Morbidelli and Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac) had the latest GP24. Meanwhile, Álex and Marc Márquez (Gresini) and Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46) had last year’s GP23.

Jaime Alguersuari, former rider, highlighted this difference in the bikes on the Dura la Vita podcast, emphasizing the aspects he most remembered from the 2024 season:

– The untouchable capacity of the best technician, engineer, and brand regarding the overall difference: Ducati, Gigi [Dall’Igna]. There are four, plus four – eight, and the rest don’t exist. And these eight are: four to win the absolute Championship, and the other four, the GP23s, to prevent another manufacturer from beating them.

Martín was the champion ahead of Bagnaia, with Marc Márquez in third and Bastianini in fourth. The best non-Ducati rider was Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM) in fifth place in the championship.
