After completing the first two seasons of MotoGP in satellite teams, Enea Bastianini made the leap to Ducati in 2023. Injuries prevented him from extracting the maximum potential throughout the year, but he was able to adapt to a very different reality from what he was used to.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the winner of the Malaysian Grand Prix admitted that the difficulty level in a factory team is higher… although the work was not radically different:
– In the factory team everything is more difficult, because you have to relate to many more people. However, this is something I quickly got used to. What I struggled to adapt to several times was the less. Speaking of work, I would say that the work I did within the factory team was very similar to what I did at Gresini. Similar, but… it’s all a bit more complex.
