Despite not going beyond 11th place, Miguel Oliveira has reasons to be encouraged after the MotoGP Americas GP. This is because he saw an Aprilia rider win – Maverick Viñales, who was superior in many ways in this round.
The Trackhouse Racing Portuguese considers that the performance of the Austin winner is largely due to the rider, although he does not fail to recognize that the bike also plays an important role:
– As he said, he loves this track, he always rides very well here. Of course, the bike is allowing him to do these kinds of things, but he is clicking with the track, with the bike, and when you have this flow, it is very difficult to beat you.
Viñales’ result serves as motivation for Oliveira and for Trackhouse, as #88 guaranteed: ‘It motivates us, and of course motivates everyone else to do even better. I am not a fan of Austin, I have never been particularly fast here, Maverick is. So, we need to build from here and see what we can do in Jerez‘.
