Francesco Bagnaia starts defending his MotoGP title this weekend. The Ducati rider made a good impression in the preseason, being the fastest in the Sepang and Losail tests – the circuit hosting the opening round, the Qatar GP.
The Ducati rider ensured he is prepared, but downplayed the significance of the results and performance in the tests as he expects a different context in competition:
– I’m excited to start my fourth season with the Ducati Lenovo Team! We are starting in Qatar, a track I like where I have had some good results in the past. During the tests, we were competitive, both in race pace and in attacking the stopwatch. I managed to set a good time, but the conditions were also right. The race will be different: I expect several fast riders and the competition will be intense. Nevertheless, we are prepared, and I can’t wait to hit the track on Friday afternoon.
