Pedro Acosta finished the Sprint race at Le Mans in 6th position. The Spanish rider showed great consistency and even had a big scare in the last corner of the French circuit. Despite the scare, Acosta always maintained a good pace and earned four more points for the championship.
In the debrief, the Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 rider talked about the sensations he had throughout the Saturday race.
“It wasn’t a bad start. I stayed behind Bezzecchi and Di Giannantonio, but it was fun. The race overall was good, it was difficult to pass riders who were slower than me, but it was a good race.”
Asked about the defense he made in the last corner, Acosta replied: ‘In Moto2 I didn’t think about being focused on these defenses, but here it’s different. I’ve said several times that we have one of the best front ends in the paddock, it’s true that it gives us different lines when we go faster and allows us to do these kinds of things.’
The Spanish rider also added: ‘We have to be happy with the points we got and think that we can improve even more for tomorrow’s race.’
