Marco Bezzecchi finished the Grand Prix of the Americas in 8th position. The Italian rider has not been performing as well as in the previous season, yet an eighth place shows promising signs for the return to Europe, especially in Jerez.
The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider, in a debrief, talked about his performance in the Grand Prix of the Americas and the sensations he had throughout the race.
– ‘It’s not a bad performance, but it’s not up to what I aim to achieve, it still doesn’t meet my expectations. The team is doing a good job, our pace is improving. However, the main problem comes from our grid position, which, combined with a complex first corner, made me lose several places in an attempt to avoid collisions.’
The Italian rider explained what is the main issue affecting his performance the most: ‘The real problem at the moment is riding the bike correctly in the corners. We are still searching for the ideal balance’.
