After Joaquim Rodrigues, the Portuguese contingent in the Dakar 2024 had another setback. Sebastian Bühler dropped out of the race after an accident in the third stage, held this Monday.
The Portuguese-German from Hero MotoSports crashed after kilometer 360 of the special stage. He was assisted by Toby Price (Red Bull KTM) and Skyler Howes (Monster Energy Honda) before receiving medical assistance.
Although he was conscious and able to move, Bühler complained of back pain and was transported by air to a hospital for examination. It is an early end for the rider, who impressed yesterday with the fourth fastest time. Hero now has only the leader Ross Branch and the eighth-place Joan Barreda.
