Marc Márquez’s debut aboard a Gresini Ducati was positive, finishing fourth in the Qatar GP – not far from the podium. The six-time premier class champion remains one of the main references in the paddock, but what does the future hold?Continuity with the Borgo Panigale manufacturer or another change in 2025?
In an interview with DAZN, Jorge Lorenzo commented: ‘The politics and the relationship that Marc has with Ducati and Gigi Dall’Igna will be very important. Gigi is happy with Marc’s arrival, he supports his arrival. He wants to have the best riders in his ranks, and I’m sure that if Marc continues to perform as well as he did in his debut, Dall’Igna and Ducati will support him this year and will want him to continue with the brand in the future’.
And Lorenzo doesn’t rule out Márquez’s promotion to Ducati: ‘No, not at all. Ducati is fortunate to have eight very fast riders, and they have the upper hand. They have the best bike and can choose which two riders they want for the factory team in 2025 and in the future’.
