The SCORPION Trail III is the new enduro road tire from Pirelli developed for maxi enduros that combine excellent performance on asphalt and light off-road use. The tire is completing its final rigorous outdoor tests and will be available to the public starting January 2024.
In recent years, the road enduro segment has become one of the most important in the market and Pirelli has chosen to develop tires with increasingly sporty performance on the road, but with an off-road look, with special attention to ease of use in different road conditions.
The Pirelli SCORPION Trail III indeed presents an aggressive tread pattern, behind which lies strong technological innovation. It leverages the latest technologies, materials, and processes, as well as the knowledge acquired by Pirelli in the “big enduro” segment, to meet the most demanding market expectations, offering top-of-the-line road qualities. Compared to its predecessor SCORPION Trail II, the new tire ensures significantly improved road behavior and a more sporty performance thanks to excellent grip, as well as better performance on wet surfaces. Additionally, the SCORPION Trail III ensures stability even with full load and can interact better with the machine’s electronic systems. Finally, in terms of off-road driving, abrasion resistance has been significantly improved, an important parameter for those who like to venture on dirt roads.
THE SCORPION TRAIL III is the ideal tire to tackle fun asphalt routes full of curves and is dedicated to all motorcyclists looking for a product with a tread design dedicated to large road enduro bikes with excellent performance, both in dry and wet conditions, combined with a sporty behavior and good mileage.
The target machines for the SCORPION TRAIL III are those starting from medium and larger displacements (over 400cc) and equipped with front tires of 19 or 21 inches; therefore, bikes capable of facing long trips and excursions with light off-road sections. In 2024, front and rear 17-inch tires dedicated to crossovers will also complete the range.
The choice to identify this new product with the SCORPION brand is in line with the history linked to this range of Pirelli products, which has always been one of the protagonists of off-road and two and four-wheel competitions, such as the Enduro and Cross-Country World Championship and the Motocross World Championship – where Pirelli off-road tires have been pioneers for 40 years, with 81 world titles won.
