Pedro Acosta finished the Sprint race at Le Mans in 6th position. The Spanish driver was very consistent and had a big scare on the last corner of the French circuit. Despite the scare, Acosta kept up a good pace and scored another four points for the championship.
In his debrief, the Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 rider spoke about his feelings throughout Saturday’s race.
– It wasn’t a bad start. I was behind Bezzecchi and Di Giannantonio, but it was fun. The race overall was good, it was difficult to pass drivers who were slower than me, but it was a good race.
Asked about the save he made in the last corner, Acosta replied: ‘In moto2 I didn’t think about being focused on these saves, but here it’s different. I’ve said several times that we have one of the best front ends in the paddock, it’s true that it gives us different lines when we go faster and allows us to do this kind of thing.’
The Spanish driver added: ‘We have to be happy with the points we got and think that we can improve even more for tomorrow’s race.
