To power this compact and charming scooter is a permanent magnet motor housed in the rear wheel. It pumps out three kilowatts of rated power and reaches a peak of five kilowatts, or about 6.7 horsepower, putting it on par with a 125 cc gasoline scooter in terms of performance. However, it is differentiated in terms of torque, with the Velocifero claiming an impressive 175 Nm of torque from this electric motor. The Tennis-E offers its rider three driving modes, Eco, Comfort, and Sport, and has a top speed of 85 km/h.
As for the power source, the Velocifero Tennis-E has two removable lithium-ion batteries with a combined capacity of 2.99 kilowatt-hours. Each battery weighs 10 kg, so drivers have the option to save weight and use only one battery on shorter trips. The batteries can be fully charged in about four hours and, combined, provide 80 km of range on a single charge.
Regarding prices and availability, the Italian brand has not yet announced any information about the new Tennis-E, however, it is expected to arrive at European dealerships in time for spring, in March 2024.
