The Taiwanese electric mobility company Gogoro has proven to be one of the innovative entities in the urban mobility segment. The company has launched ambitious expansion programs in various countries around the world, meeting the needs and preferences of each market. In India, for example, Gogoro has not only introduced its battery swapping infrastructure, but also a new model called CrossOver GX250.
India is one of the largest motorcycle markets in the world, but it is also a country with some of the worst roads. As such, the Gogoro CrossOver GX250 was developed to withstand the rigors of the Indian city, while being rugged enough to handle some off-road terrain. In fact, the founder and CEO of Gogoro sees great potential in the Indian market, especially when it comes to meeting the needs of Indian workers.

Horacio Luke stated in the company’s official press release: “The Gogoro CrossOver series embodies everything our brand stands for and the new CrossOver GX250 manufactured in India is optimized for drivers in India with more seating space, larger storage, and better ground clearance.” The new model was built around a new all-terrain frame that prioritizes comfort, ease of use, and practicality thanks to generous storage space under the seat.
As for technology, the new CrossOver GX250 has a 2.5 kilowatt Direct Drive electric motor. This gives it a top speed of over 72.4 km/h and a certified range of 112.6 km on a single charge. Battery swapping is an incredibly easy task, as with all other Gogoro models, and can be done in a matter of seconds. The CrossOver GX250, however, stands out for its reinforced suspension, designed to carry extra load. Speaking of load, onboard space is ensured by multiple storage areas, as well as the possibility of installing bags and racks.
