In addition to the new adventure-tourer from MV Agusta, there was another significant announcement made by the Italian motorcycle manufacturer. The Superveloce 1000 is on its way.
The MV Agusta stand at EICMA 2023 was buzzing this year with the launch of the 2024 LXP Orioli adventure-tourer. As the brand’s most “adventurous” bike, and as its biggest exception in a lineup full of roadsters, the model made headlines everywhere. It is the most equipped MV we have in the lineup so far, with riding modes, a six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), attention to detail, and top-of-the-line equipment for what MV engineers consider to be the ideal performance for this excellent adventure bike.
After the excitement settled, there was yet another announcement. A footnote, if you will, but a noteworthy one. The MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro, a bike that has been discussed by us several times, is getting a final version with a planned release in the third quarter of 2024.
It was also at EICMA 2023 that the prototype of the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro was unveiled, giving spectators a hint of what the final production model will be like.
We can guess that the motorcycle will have up to 208 hp of power and come with 116.6 Nm of torque from a 998 cc inline four-cylinder engine. So far, the suspension is composed of an Öhlins Nix EC fork and an EC TTX shock absorber, as well as Brembo brakes at the front and rear. At this level of performance, all driving modes and safety systems that one can imagine are expected. So far, the final specifications may still be subject to changes before the launch in 2024.
