A segment that does the math, Crossovers are always very popular because they combine good versatility of use, interesting performance, and a very personal aesthetic character.
For now, the NX acronym from Honda is only linked to the displacement of 500 cc, with the valid NX500. Here, then, imagining the introduction of a 1000, with four inline cylinders, well endowed in terms of torque and power, and equipped with all the latest electronic gadgets, seems truly seductive. Note that, in a way, the introduction of an NX1000 could make us forget the current NT1100, which actually uses the twin-cylinder engine from the Africa Twin 1100 with 102 hp.
Still, a NX1000 built on the base of the Hornet 1000 could really be the best compromise between price, performance, and general features for a motorcycle that can satisfy those who want a model that can take them on vacation (maybe even brilliantly for two) and, at the same time, give them healthy driving emotions when the road allows it. A true crossover characterized by a slender frame with a longer suspension travel than the Hornet 1000 and the stainless steel inline 4-cylinder engine with its rear, about 150 hp and the smooth delivery that pleases motorcyclists, even those of the older generation.
Proof of this is the growing interest in models like the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT, the Suzuki GSX-S1000GX, and the BMW M1000XR, all motorcycles ready to face a possible new NX1000.
