Returning to action in Indonesia, Enea Bastianini matched his best MotoGP result of the season so far, finishing in eighth place. The Italian now faces the Australian GP with the aim of maintaining his good form.
Recalling his strong performance at Phillip Island in 2022, the Ducati rider set his sights on continuing the good form from Mandalika:
– I’m happy to be back racing at Phillip Island. This will be my second time at this track on a MotoGP bike. Last year I started from the back, but in the middle of the race I was able to make a good recovery and finished in fifth place. The goal this weekend will be to replicate a strong performance like last weekend in Indonesia. We did a great job with my team, and I had a good race. The aim is to be immediately fast and secure a good qualifying position. Physically, I’m still not at 100 percent, but I’m ready to give my best as always.
