Enea Bastianini will return to compete in the MotoGP season with the Ducati factory team in 2024. After facing many physical difficulties last year, he is now recovered and excited for the upcoming season.
In a press conference after the Ducati presentation, the rider stated: ‘The year 2023 was so complicated. During the winter, I worked a lot, starting from the day before the Valencia test. And it was important for me to shorten the physical margin because my condition was very difficult. Now I can be at 100 percent because the main problem has always been the shoulder, but now it’s fine. When I try the bike, it’s also perfect. And I’m really happy about this because it was critical, especially at the end of the season when I was really tired and suffered a lot during the 2023 season. Let’s start the new one’.
About the new Desmosedici GP24, Bastianini assured that he already has better sensations than with last year’s version: ‘The 2024 bike is good. It’s fast and the first impact was also better compared to the 2023 bike. We haven’t tried all the solutions because we also have to try something during the Sepang test. Pecco [Bagnaia] also tested something different compared to me and he’s happy. I think Sepang will be much easier compared to 2023 because it was complicated at the beginning’.
