One of the weighty changes in the World Superbike paddock in 2024 involves Jonathan Rea, who is leaving Kawasaki to ride for Pata Yamaha. A move commented on by Dani Pedrosa.
The Spanish rider, a test rider for KTM in MotoGP, believes that the six-time WSBK champion will have renewed motivation and the opportunity to fight for the title in 2024. Pedrosa said quoted by TodoCircuito.com:
– Now it’s a change that will motivate him to restart and try to challenge [Álvaro] Bautista. Johnny has the opportunity to fight for the title because up to now Toprak has been very strong with that bike. We will see how determined he is this winter to prepare for the fight.
