Jorge Lorenzo commented on DAZN what he thought of the Jerez GP. Lorenzo analyzed the performances of the fastest riders of the weekend, especially the top three finishers in Sunday’s race.
In statements to DAZN, Lorenzo talked about the race and the battle between Marc Márquez and Francesco Baganaia.
– ‘It was a great race. The only thing missing was the icing on the cake, which would have been if Pecco hadn’t gone so fast and Marc could have fought until the end of the race. There was a key action in that corner, between Nieto and Peluqui. That almost friendly hug wouldn’t have been the same if both had gone down. And the three Ducati titans on the ground today would have been quite dramatic, but it wasn’t.’
Lorenzo also commented on Marc Márquez’s performance in the Jerez GP: ‘I think he will improve and, in Austin, if that race hadn’t happened, he could have aimed for the podium and achieved it at his favorite circuit, but it had to be Jerez, a circuit where he usually doesn’t do well because it is very right-handed. But I tell you, the experience he is gradually gaining, even with a 2023 version that, in principle, is inferior to Martin and Bagnaia’s 2024. He has already shown his teeth and said ‘I’m here and now get ready because when I fully control this bike, I will be faster.’
