One week ago, Yamaha was at Jerez for testing and it was positive for the Japanese manufacturer, said Massimo Meregalli. There are still a few more days of testing that could be crucial and bring changes very soon:
‘It was an intense test. The list of items we brought here was long, so we had to prioritize the three most important: the aerodynamic package, the chassis, and some electronic settings, the latter of which, unfortunately, we could not test earlier,’ said Meregalli before continuing:
– Basically, we went through the test plan step by step, analyzing these points. We are always trying to improve cornering with the chassis and aerodynamics. We managed to find the information we were looking for.’
The Italian is already looking forward to the next testing days, as he explained, saying that some news may come soon: ‘After Le Mans, we will go to Mugello for, hopefully, two more days of testing where we will evaluate all the items again because we want to be sure. We want to test the elements on more than one track to avoid making a mistake. If the results of both riders in the private test at Mugello are the same and they are satisfied, the goal will be to introduce an update of the bike in the Barcelona GP round or in Mugello […]’.
