It took only a few seasons in the MotoGP World Championship in the premier class with the Suzuki RGV Gamma 500, from 1986 to 95, to conquer the hearts of an unlimited number of fans worldwide. Kevin Schwantz, thanks to a often unbiased and always spectacular driving style and a particular charisma, even when he didn’t wear a helmet, managed to make incursions not only among Suzuki fans, with whom Kevin maintained constant and close relationships, but in general among all lovers of sport bikes and beyond.
With this story behind him, there has never been a lack of aesthetic expressions capable of recalling the fantastic union between Kevin and Suzuki; the one seen in these images is just the latest of them, but certainly won’t be the last.
Built on a Suzuki GSX-8S base, it recalls the historic sponsor of the time, more precisely the two seasons, 1988 and 1989, in which Kevin Schwantz made the public definitively fall in love with him. This is not a trivial nostalgia operation, but a preparation carried out by the largest British Suzuki dealer with a limited series.
For this, all the parts of the superstructure were made in white, including the wheels, and specific graphics with logos and sponsors of the time were created. The rest is done by the GSX-8S base, with its 83 hp two-cylinder engine, complete electronics, and proven quality Kayaba suspension.
What is missing? The price; British dealer Crescent Motorcycles has not yet revealed how much you will have to pay to take one of Kevin Schwantz’s GSX-8S machines home.
