Buell was founded in 1983 and, after being acquired by Harley-Davidson in 1993, it closed in 2009 before announcing its return to production in 2021. For next year, there is a model generating high expectations: the Super Cruiser.
Available for pre-order for over a year, the bike was designed in collaboration with Roland Sands Design. It is a powerful cruiser with an aggressive style, featuring a 1,190cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine delivering 175 hp.
It rides on 17-inch wheels with signature brakes, and the suspension is fully adjustable. Buell describes this model as a ‘high-performance’ bike, combining simple ergonomics with supersport performance, boasting a lot of American «DNA» in its retro design.
The pre-order price is set at $23,900 (approximately €21,503). The Super Cruiser definitely appeals to customers in the cruiser segment, with performance focused on road riding.
With a refundable $50 deposit, customers can secure their place in line to order a new unit of this Buell, which promises to relaunch the appeal of the American brand. Production begins next year, and as of an update from October of last year, it had already received over $120 million in pre-orders. Earlier this year, the production prototype was also unveiled.
